These post-apocalyptic landscapes were photographed on a huge burning landfill in North Africa. Additional motifs were painted in later to emphasize the scale of the environmental pollution and to highlight our negligent attitude towards the planet’s wellbeing. It’s an indictment of humanity’s blatant disregard for nature. The work constitutes large scale photographs with details painted in acrylic, where the borders between reality and fiction are deliberately blurred. It’s All Rubbish also became the basis for BECKERHARRISON’s first foray into non-fungible tokens (“NFTs”) sold through digital platforms.
